Welcome! |
Looking back over 40 years, those were good days. Things were certainly different from today. Simpler in some ways, yet still a busy time for us. Classes, assignments, labs and write-ups, reports, esays, exams, and more. There were plenty of extra curricular activities as well (e.g. football, chess club, bridge club, cheerleading, basketball, band, glee club, drivers ed, etc.); fitting some in at lunch time and others after school.
Some of us came into John Rennie with friends from public school. Others moved in from other areas or provinces. All of us made friends during our years 'passing through' John Rennie. Some of these friendships have lasted the test of time to today and will continue for years. A number of us very very fortunate in May at the school 50th anniversary and reunion, to renew friendships. Those who attended the class reunion enjoyed meals together, sharing stories, getting caught up with news and family information, meeting former teachers, principals, and staff, reminiscing and recalling names of teachers and 'things' that happened in and around the school.
Yes, those school days were good days.
If you are a Class of '66 member, would you like to know whether any class activities or events are planned? Would you like to contact a classmate? If so, send me a message. If you prefer to keep you e-mail address or other information private, I can respect this and relay messages. I have been in contact with a number of classmates because of the John Rennie anniversary and reunion. I am seeking to contact all classmates and would really like to see the 'Missing' class web site be empty.
I hope you enjoy discovering this site dedicated to the Class of 1966 from John Rennie High School.
